Oils and Uses

Lemon:Uplifts your mood, helps immune function, antiseptic, anti-fungal, antioxidant, antiviral, astringent, and really refreshing!

Lavender: Uplifts your mood, helps you relax, anti-fungal, antihistamine, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic.

Melaleuca (Green Tea:) Stimulant, antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anti-parasitic, strong antiseptic.

Peppermint: Invigorating, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral.

Lemon Grass: Revitalizing, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, relaxing, insect repellent.

Eucalyptus: antibacterial, anti-inflammatory,antiviral, insecticidal.

Rosemary: mental alertness, memory enhancement, antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory.

Thyme: Highly antibacterial, anti-fungal, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiviral, antiseptic.

Ginger: antibacterial

Wintergreen: anti-headache, sore throat

Frankincense: anti bladder-cancer, natural insecticide, acne, bacterial and fungal infections,

These don't always work. She said if you get hormonal headaches the Wintergreen works (she rubs it on her temples) but if you get headaches from not eating the right foods it may not work. She also said to boil some of these and get them to go through the house to calm your kids down. She said before bed sometimes she asks her kids to come smell the lavender or lemon or she gets it to go through the house and her kids calm down and go to sleep easier. The anti-inflammatory ones you should breathe in maybe boiled in water or in a humidifier to work better.

I loved this lesson and I am most likely going to go buy Rosemary and Lemongrass tomorrow. I already have lavender and Thyme and Eucalyptus and Peppermint and Lemon and all my shower soaps are Green Tea.
