I made this last night at the request of a friend...hint hint wink wink nudge nudge poke poke.

I had just enough yarn for one flower and some for sewing it on. Wasn't hard, but I couldn't find a free pattern that wasn't in knitting instructions. So I read the knitting instructions and changed them to crochet and made this. I got the pattern from this site. Ear Warmer and like I said I changed it to this what do you think does it look close?

I finished this at 1:20 a.m. last night (do you say last night if its a.m.?) so I didn't sew a button on it. Really easy and not to long to make and since I have a pattern and have made it. It shouldn't take very long at all if I want to make it again.

I got the flower pattern from HERE. The one on the original one was way too big and I didn't have enough yarn for it so I tried this one instead.

What does it say about me that I am willing to play hip hop and whatever else in my car until I have someone else's kids in there and then I switch it to Country or oldies or something "safe"??? I mean, I do change it when a "bad" song comes on. But what does that mean? Does it mean I am willing to corrupt my kids but not others? Am I a bad mom?

Also on my mind is that I haven't cleaned my house in weeks. I mean I do dishes once a day and get the kids to do their chores and maybe wash school clothes, cuz, well they have to have clean school clothes, but other than that I haven't really done much else. Until again, I have other kids over and then I stop being on the computer and clean the kitchen and the table and counters and the living room and the floors and do laundry and put it away and putting it away is a big deal. Cuz well I never put it away and it just sits on the "laundry table" (Jason hates it when I call it that ha ha) until the kids use it or my mom comes and puts it away. Which is normally once a week. ha ha But tonight I cleaned all night and didn't even think twice about it. I just kept going. Hung my clothes up, vacuumed every room downstairs and under the couch, I even put all the movies away and found cases for ones that weren't put away. I mean really I need other people here to get stuff done? Why? Am I too lazy to do it normally? why cant I get it done normally? Or why can't Make myself do it normally? I just don't get it. Oh well I guess I will try to stop dwelling on it and think about something else.

'Someone' told me it was "too hard" to do, so I waited years to have it done, but I just did it and it wasn't hard at all! I think Men say things like that so they don't have to do something and they think if they say its too hard a girl wont even try it. Men are so Stupid! I swear! If I was a guy I think I would be stupider than I am now! I can do dishes, laundry, make food, and do all the things a man can. But a man can only do men things. They say its too hard to do anything that's "Woman's Work". (Maybe its just my man?)

I cut the material, unscrewed the seats from the chairs and stapled the new covers on and

!Voila!

they are done! How hard was that!?!

It took maybe an hour? Maybe?

Even the kids are happy about it!!!

You know what I hate. I hate that when I make others a gift I forget to take a pic of it and then after I want to remember what it looks like I can't.

Yup, that's what I hate. I take pics of almost everything I do or the kids do but I always forget gifts. Partly because I don't want to post it on my blog or anywhere else before I give it away, then I give it away and forget to take a pic.

And the circle in the middle was NOT big enough for all the stitches that had to go in it, so that made it annoying but since I learned the "magic ring thing" I think I will try that next time. Jeremiah's eye

Ok I didn't want to post this until it healed, well, I really wanted to post it when it happened but I was so worried about it that I didn't want to worry anyone else.

So I waited.

Jeremiah hit his eye on Monday the 28th around 3pm in the afternoon. And it immediately swelled like a balloon (ok maybe just a golf ball) and I put ice on it and it went down and we laid there keeping ice on it and both fell asleep (I know that's bad but I couldn't help it, it just happened) So after we woke up I checked it again and it was still big but not as big so I let him take a bath and after the bath he said it hurt.

So I looked at it and it was bigger.

So I freaked out and called Jason at school and asked him what to do. He told me that he didn't think the hospital would do anything except put ice on it so I stayed home and used all the rest of our ice and it did go down but it was still big so I stayed up LATE waiting for it to go down more.

It did so I went to bed and took another pic in the morning and it seemed to be getting better, slowly but still.

Then again in the afternoon I took another pic to show it still healing slowly.

Below are two pics from Wednesday morning. As you can see he was fine. Just a black eye. But I have to say he was happy the whole time. (Except when it happened of course)

Thursday was the first day he could open his eye. YEAH!!!

Friday he had a lot of yellow and a little blue but the rest was still red.

Sunday we have a lot less red and a bunch more yellow and he can really open his eye.

Today he is almost done and he keeps saying, "My eye better- it no hurt." (Ya we need to work on speech ha ha)

I have found that I am kinda motivated by criticism. Only I am UN-motivated by criticism. I will not do anything that is brought up by criticism. And I do mean nothing! If you tell me my house is messy and I need to clean it I will stop any cleaning I was doing before and do nothing! If you tell me I am fat I will eat more and exercise less! Yup! I even cut my hair in high school, when a boyfriend told me he would never date a girl with short hair! Oh yes I did! I have never done well with authority and now that I am an adult I don't do it at all! I am in charge of myself and if you think you can control me YOU WONT!!! Trust me! Ya I know this is kinda personal to blog about, but its my blog and NOT that many people even read it so whatever. And if you are offended stop reading it. Thanks. And have a great day.

Less stuff!

sewing desk,

the "laundry" table (ha ha),

a bunch of movies,

papers, papers, and more papers (this is the hardest thing for me),

kids stuff (toys clothes whatever),

my clothes.

I don't want half of my small appliances, I only use a quarter of them and those I only use once a month or less.

I'm thinking about getting rid of everything and it makes me stress out even more cuz I think of it all at the same time and I cant make myself start on any one thing. I just keep looking at it all and hating it.

I keep thinking that nothing really matters until Jason graduates in May and I cant get a job or go to school or paint my house or do anything until we move and start over. And it doesn't make sense to me to organize this house if we are just going to move again and have to do it all over again.

New Earrings (No Name yet, Suggestions?)

I always use a Steel hook 7,

but you could use whichever one you like to make bigger or smaller earrings.

Chain 20, slip stitch in last chain to form ring.

Chain 1, sc 33 times in ring.

Change color, attach, sc in each stitch.

Change color, attach, sc in the next 11 stitches, 2sc in the next, sc in the next 7, 2sc in the next, sc to the end. Finish off.

I can make these in football team colors. I friend said this one is the Steeler's Colors.

Baby Hats

I loomed the first (left) one and crocheted the second (right) one. The first is infant size and the second is preemie size.

I used to make tons for the NICU since my first was Preemie but I haven't in a while. So I figured I would start again.

I actually had one nurse ask me how I had time to make hats if I had kids (this was when I only had 3, lol), and I tried to explain, "Its just like you working and when you get home you make time for other things." and she looked at me and said when I get home I sleep?

I was sad for her.

Before Fall break my kids also broke my Candy Dish that I made a while back so I tried to break all the glass off so I could just glue a new one on and I glued it too well to do that so I had to make a new one. After I paint it I liked it too much to sand it and make it look old and worn. So I left it new looking.

The girls room again

I had to get in the girls room again and spent what seemed like forever cleaning it. She told me it was clean so I initially went in there to vacuum it and be done but when I went in there it wasn't clean at all. and I had to clean it and when I thought I was done I saw under the bed and got more angry because it was covered and I wondered how I hadn't seen it before. But anyway I moved the bed completely and made the girls get everything and vacuumed again and we got it clean. I really hate laundry and it shows right now. I was kinda proud of myself when I saw that the laundry room was still pretty clean with the girls clothes in it. But then I remembered I did a bunch of laundry and never put it away. Its just sitting on the "laundry table". I call it that and Jason gets mad, cuz its not really a table for laundry. ha ha I still call it that and the kids call it that too.

I did get a new mop tonight and mopped the kitchen and did two loads of laundry too. Yet I dread the laundry.

During Fall Break

and today my large glass cutting board.

I am really sad and kinda angry.

The cutting board was a TON of glass to clean up!

Green Doily

Okay, well this doily was a BIG mistake to make. I looked at the picture and it looked small and I looked at the pattern and "saw" it was only 11 rounds so I decided to make it. Then messed up around round 6 and didn't notice until round 7 and had to take out both rounds. Then I got to round 11 and only had half my pineapples done and realized it was really 21 rounds. Poo! So now I was frustrated and had to decide either take out 11 rounds of hard work or keep going on a doily I thought was smaller and easier to make... So I kept going and messed up 3 more times, POO!, having to take out 2 rounds each time I messed up. Then as I got to the last round I noticed I didn't have much thread left and almost ran out of thread on this doily. POO! But its done and twice as large as I originally thought and I don't really like it anymore and
wonder if I should have just quit when I got to round 11? oh well its tied off, starched and done!

Triple Round Earrings #2

the blue one

I always use a Steel hook 7,

but you could use whichever one you like to make bigger or smaller earrings.

1st round- ch 4, 12 dc in the 4th chain from hook, finish off. leaving long tail for sewing.

2nd round- ch 5, 16 Tr in 5th chain from hook. leaving long tail for sewing.

3rd round- chain 6, 20 Dbl Tr in 6th chain from hook.

Sewing- sew 1st one to 2nd one. Sew 2nd one to 2rd one centering stitches so its even between the top and bottom. Make sure the stitches all face the same way.

Tr=yarn over once more than a dc. (twice)

Dbl Tr=yarn over once more than Tr (thrice)

Crocheted Washcloth

G hook

Row 1: Chain 25, DC in 4th ch from hook, and all the rest to end.

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in each st to end.

Continue Row 2 until you have 10 rows (or a good rectangle)

Border.

Using each dc as two stitches down the side.

Side Border: Chain 1, 2sc in first st and all down the side. 3sc in corner.

Bottom Border: Sc in-between each st across the bottom. 3sc in corner.

Repeat side border for other side.

Repeat bottom border for top.

Sl st in first sc. finish off.

I wonder why I have to tell my son he has to go to school just to go and sit in Savannah's classroom all day because a boy pushed him and hit him and all he did was push this boy awway from him. I wonder why schools feel the need to punish the boys the same when in fact this other boy was more wrong then my "perfect" son. ha ha I wonder why He had to write sorry letters (Savannah's teacher told him to) to his teacher, the principal and the boy, when again the boy was wrong. I had to tell Jacob that next time he has to be a tattle tale on the boy first or stop playing the game and walk away again when the other boy was being mean, not Jacob. This always happens to Jacob because he is slightly faster then the other boys and can catch them or not be caught himself. At church a couple weeks ago the boys were playing tag and could not catch Jacob (again) so one boy cheated and grabbed his shirt and made Jacob hit his head on the door, having a huge golf ball size bump. I don't think its fair for Jacob that just because he is better at sports then some other poor sports that he gets beat up on.I really don't.

Chain 6, slip stitch to form ring.

Chain 3, 14 double crochet in ring.

Chain 3, double crochet in same stitch. 2 double crochet in each stitch.

Ear 1
Turn, Chain 3, double crochet in same stitch, 2 double crochet in next 2 stitches.

turn, 3 single crochet decrease in 6 stitches

turn, 2 single crochet decrease in 3 stitches

turn 1 single crochet decrease in 2 stitches,
finish off.

Attach thread 4 stitches away from first ear. Repeat first ear for second ear.

Attach at middle bottom stitch with slip stitch.

Chain 100 3 single crochet in first 12 chains, slip stitch in the rest to beg chain, slip stitch in joining finish off.

With red attach to space in between first and second row, approximately where mouth would be. (I did it one stitch to the right of the tail)

Chain4, slip stitch in 2nd, single crochet in 3rd, slip in 4th, slip stitch in joining. Finish off.

With black, thread a needle and stitch eyes and nose. Eyes are X's under the ears. Nose is a Star stitch over the hole in the beginning.

single crochet decrease= put the needle in one stitch and yarn over and pull through a loop and put the needle in the second stitch and yarn over and pull through a loop and yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on the hook.

Does that make sense?

Into each 4ch lp work (1sc, 1hdc, 3dc, 1hdc, 1sc), sl st in 1st sc.

Sl st in back of the hdc on round 2, *5ch, keep yarn at back of work, 1sl st into back of nxt hdc on 2nd round, rep from * 4 times, 5 chain, sl st in same hdc as 1st.

Into each 5ch lp work (1sc, 1hdc, 5dc, 1hdc, 1sc), sl st in 1st sc.

I have a goal to use my yarn that has been sitting for years that I dont want to use. Sounds crazy, right? oh well So I have been making a blanket with yarn that I bought, that was supposed to be a simple job to finish. Buy one BIG ball of yarn and make a blanket quick.....ya right I have been working on this for two days and its still tiny.

Everything makes me cry. A song, tv show, Quiet, arguing. Everything reminds me of her and yet I didnt even really know her. I didnt get to see her before, I just got to see her after and it hurts so bad. I thought I was fine, but all I do is cry.

I do hate cleaning and organizing and was just thinking about how I dread it and then I saw this and had to laugh, oh man do I remember why I don't do it!!! Triple Round Earrings

I always use a Steel hook 7,

but you could use whichever one you like to make bigger or smaller earrings.

Chain 5. Sl st in to 1st chain to form ring.

Chain 1, sc 9 times into ring.

Chain 3, dc in same space, dc twice into each sc. Sl st in 1st st to finish. Finish off leaving long thread for attaching.

Make three. Connect to each other on opposite ends. Finish off by hiding ends.

(I am really loving the gold color I bought I love the way the square and circle ones look in it too)

Sc 3 times in 2nd chain from hook, and in every other chain. Finish off.

Edited to change Chaining. Longer chain makes a better spiral.

We drove out to San Francisco and tried to see the bridge. But we hit traffic and fog. =(
But did I mention it was 62 degrees and so nice out we had to wear jackets at the sun set. =)

Motif Crochet Earrings

I always use a Steel hook 7,

I made a couple more and thought I'd take a picture. There are 12 here and two on my sink being used and 3 I gave to Monique. Plus the one on top I didn't count cuz well its not done. :) I finished off the pick variegated color and am almost done with the blue. My goal was to use all my cotton thread so I am about one washcloth away from that. Yeah! I even bought a tiny ball of cotton to keep me going since I am almost done with my blue. But I think I will only get two out of that one. but still cute. I got a green, blue, yellow, color.

oh ya I have been making the last ones while watching the show Medium. lol Since I cant watch the show I want until Aug 30th.

My Laundry Room

This is what my laundry room looked like after cleaning Savannah's Room for 5 1/2 hours. Yes its a little embarrassing but again we had to dump everything in there since we couldn't smell what was clean and what was dirty. They all smelled dirty.This is after one load.

After two loads.

After three.After four, you can tell the clothes in the front are down and this is when I started doing the towels and blankets. There are still a load of clothes in the basket but I need to do other things first.

Last night I spent 5 1/2 hours cleaning the girls room. (with them helping) We found tons of pens, pencils, markers, bread pieces, an apple core, all their clothes they own were on the floor and we could not figure out what was clean so everything was claimed dirty. Tons of legos that were supposed to be in the boys room, and so much trash that it filled a whole bag. Needless to say they dont even have that many toys I was gonna get rid of anything that didn't fit in the four small totes but everything fit??? I guess its the clothes? I guess I have to wash and get rid of clothes?? I really hate going through clothes!!!

I have made 13 purses, 10 pin cushions, 2 pillow cases, sandwich bag, 2 sewing machine covers, 3 ruffled shirts, 2 car visors, recovered a chair, 3 coasters, and did I mention all the purses I made? So my question is what do I make next?

Shower Curtain (the problem is I don't have a curtain in my bathroom)
Quilted Tool Carrier (need more instructions)
Skirt (afraid to start)
Bungee cord cover (do I really need a bungee cord cover)
Camera case
Tube Quilting (afraid to start)

Made a new one, the other one was too small so I gave it to my mom who just happens to love RED!!! WIN WIN!!!

Ok so I made this out of extra fabric, so yes its orange, oh well at least--I wont lose it ha ha
I made a flower for this one too. He seems kinda lonely though?My favorite part is the rick rack I sewed to the bottom I used my special Zig Zag foot that has a 1/4" ribbon feed to keep the rick rack in place as you sew and I love it!!!Can you see the little whole at the bottom?

I couldn't put it up cuz it was too thick for a hair tie.
But leaving it down was too hot.
And braiding it was not really a good idea since I cant really braid my own hair.
